We want the name to be pronounced and spelled exactly the same in English and Spanish. My wife is from Mexico and she doesn't really like the typical gringo names and I am from the U.S. and I don't really like the typical (Juan, Jose, Marco, etc.)

Micheal, I know boys of both nationalities named Micheal., although I guess in spanish depending where you are it would be Miguel.
Joseph (it has the Jose part but isn't pronounced that way) Robert, don't add the o at the end to make it English |

I think Cruz sounds nice... it's Spanish, but not exactly "typical", and it sounds the same in both languages.
Other possibilities: Lucas Oscar Rafael Ruben Samuel |

You'll have an easy time finding names that are spelled the same, however...PRONOUNCED the same is a different story. Almost every name will have a different accent to it if it is said in English or Spanish. David- (your name) in English is pronounced "Day-vid". In Spanish, it's Da-veed.
So- lots of good suggestions above, but the pronunciation on all of them are different in espanol. |
