Is is normal to still have screwed up periods 4 months after having a baby? My girl will be 4 months on the 9th and I had a period last week, or it ended last week and now i'm bleeding again. Started off with just spotting and now theres cramps and all. It's not heavy, but enough to wear a tampon or a liner. Is this something i should be concerned about? We have had sex, but we used a condom every time. I'm not on BC so i guess there might be a chance i could be pregnant, but as far as i know the condoms were in tact after each time. Thanks for your time.

Yes, its quite normal. The "experts" say to give your body nine months to recover since its taken nine months for your body to get to birth. Its extremely normal to have irregular periods, different levels of pain and cramping that normal, and heavier or lighter bleeding than you usually experience. Your body is working really hard to return to normal but its a bit of a slow process.
It sounds like you have every reason to believe that you're not pregnant. You're having periods, you're using birth control reliably and your body is acting like its headed back towards normal. I wouldn't even worry about testing but there's nothing to lose except a little cash. If you can afford a pregnancy test and it will give you peace of mind...you can always just try testing. |
